Manual Camera 4 App Reviews

Best Manual Camera

No annoying extra filters and clutter. Just a great Manual Mode finally!

Almost

Great other than a locked focus goes right back to auto focus when you hit record shooting video. So that makes it a total fail for my need.

A must have app

So nice to be able to control the camera and not be at the mercy of constantly changing auto settings. Anyone trying to take a descent shot must have this app. Something Apple should have included but didnt.

Doesnt save

I spent an hour working on my regular YouTube series. Manual saved 10 mins of it and the rest of the footage disappeared. Im deleting this and never using it again.

Does what it says!

I really like this app! It does what it claims to do! I cant believe it isnt popular!!!

Love it!!

Simple design, easy to use, I been using it all the time

Izyniversal

Best app for focusing video .. And smarter app to get the best shot but still not have more options. Thanks guys.

Wow

By far, this is the greatest Camera app in existence. It absolutely replaces the standard Camera app as well as removes the need for extra editing via third party apps. Its simplistic design and powerful tools make it the must-have app for anyone interested in Photography. (It shoots video too!)

Lots of bugs

Generally, a great app, powerful and well-designed. There are tons of bugs though. For one, it makes an annoying sound every time you take a photo. So much for low-profile street photography!! Sounds start happening at random — I dont know what triggers them. The only way to stop them is to force-close the app. Please fix!! Also randomly quits, does the wrong auto exposure, and resets the dial setting I chose...

Great control for filmmakers

With news that the next iPhone will record 4K video, I searched around to find apps that let people have manual control of the camera. I came across this one and decided to give it a try; I am not disappointed! This offers great fine-tuned control for everything and lets you shoot at various frame rates - even 24fps.

Good app, better than Manual

"Manual" seems to be a more popular app and I tried it first. I found it unintuitive and unreliable. This app ("Manual Camera") is much better. It has the same functionality, plus its easier to use, takes better pictures (or at least makes it easier to take better pictures), and doesnt seem buggy. Kudos to the developer and I will be recommending it to friends if they are looking for an app that gives them manual exposure controls.

Crashes on new iPad Air 2

Like the title says, this app crashes on a brand new iPad Air 2 when recording video. Tried reinstall and reset. Wasted my money

Do not use for video

I tried to use this app to record a short video, and it seemed to lose a bunch of my longer clips. I just tried it again to test it out and if I record a longer video, when I hit stop, the spinner shows, but the clip does not appear in my camera roll. This app might be fine for still photos, but for video, stay away.

100% worth the money

I generally dont purchase apps and simply use free ones, but it was driving me crazy not being able to set the white balance for Etsy pictures, since the iPhone camera runs a little cool or overcompensates for warm or cool colored items. This app is pretty amazing overall, and lets you adjust every setting you ever wanted. Just a couple things need to be tweaked: 1) The lock for settings is incredibly hard to use and not at all intuitive (I had to google, and I got it to work for a little while the other day and cant manage tonight.) Why not just an easy to press lock button? 2) Id like to be able to manually enter a number for the WB. Its difficult to adjust it precisely with finger scrolling. 3) EV tends to go gradually for about 3/4 of a stop and then it seems to jump way too far in that direction. Doesnt seem to be quite calibrated exactly. The iOS8 native brightness adjustment is much easier to get at just the right spot. Nitpicking aside, I seriously love this app. I love being able to lock in the most macroest focus, and the flash adjustment that stays on and lets you adjust it BEFORE taking the picture is genius. <3 <3 <3 overall

Doesnt do what it says

You cant change the iris and shutter speed at the same time. Its one or the other. You need both to get creative.

Nice control but incomplete

This app gives you some manual control, it is by no means fully functional. They were issues using a blutooth shutter release. Pressing the Bluetooth remote shutter release causes the volume to turn up. Also with the app running or off it has interfered with the keyboard coming up to type in anything. this makes this program a wasted 2$. Like I said not really functional and any usable manner

Simply Brilliant

This is finally an app I can full-heartedly say I love. Holy crap its amazing!

Great app

I love the controls! SO much better than the iPhone app.

Must have app

You should have this app if want more control on focus, iso and shutter speed

Decent

I wish it could save presets, but this is nice.
